My Favorite Trick: Recording Without Translation

Most people think of BabelPhone as the ultimate tool for making phone calls with people that don't speak your language —and it is! It can translate a live phone call in real-time, which is incredible. But here’s the feature I now use almost every day, even when speaking to someone who lives right down the street: its ability to automatically transcribe phone calls, even when both sides are speaking the same language.
The app doesn't need to translate to be useful. I simply initiate the call through the BabelPhone dialer, and recording and transcription immediately start working.
The transcription clearly attributed each sentence to the correct speaker. This cannot be achieved when using a simple transcription service for audio recordings. The reason BabelPhone can do this while other services cannot is due to the context it has access to. During a phone call, the app knows who is the speaker because the speakers are technically divided into different 'channels'. When you have a simple audio recording you need to translate, the speaker's attribution must be made using the person voice and this is both complicated and unreliable.
The ability to use the app purely as a call recorder and transcription service is, for me, just as valuable as its translation feature. I now have a perfect, searchable record of every important phone call, making my professional life instantly simpler. In addition to the transcription and a simple audio recording, BabelPhone delivers also a synchronized video recording that matches the audio of the conversation with the corresponding text transcription so you can fully experience the call once again. BabelPhone is simply the superior choice over standard
call recording.

I used to upload the phone recording to google translate to get the transcription and manually add the attribution, it's so much easier that the app does it automatically
How is the attribution presented? is it valid in court?
